This year seems to be the year that 3 of my cousins are getting married .. something must be in the air!
My cousin Tim was married on a beautiful may day, no clouds in the sky and unseasonable warm, it was a blessing. The Oulton Hall Hotel as their wedding location was beautiful, like a mini castle that’s been beautifully restored.
I don’t think Tim & Lucy will mind me saying this but both of them are a little camera shy. They didn’t book a full time professional photographer as they relied on a few of their friends having their cameras with them and me. Well I am a semi professional photographer so I do know what I’m doing, I just hadn’t done a wedding except once before this day.
It was kind of a risk for them to do this but I am confident in my skills and knew I could deliver great photos and a surprise memory book of the day. Seeing my cousins response to his wedding book was a moment I’ll treasure. It’s not often I can truly help my family with something they will treasure forever but this time I could. Plus I enjoyed my day to the max, I don’t think I stopped smiling all day long. My cheeks were aching by the end of the night.
My favourite photo of the day is them taking their vows, shown above. Lucy is just stunning and just glows happiness. Truly. I love being able to witness love and joy like this and be able to capture the little moments that make up such a special day.
Thank you so much for allow me to be able to photograph your special day. It means a lot that I could give you this gift of being your photographer historian on this day.
I wish you every happiness for the rest of your years in life.
