THE London Jasmine Star Workshop – Sneak Peek

I’ve just got back from THE London Jasmine Star Workshop and what can I say .. she is amazing! Love her, her work, her blog, her sheer presence is the same feeling in person as it is online .. and I love that about her.

I just can’t help myself .. I just have to share this sneak peek preview. I know, I know I’ve left you hanging with three sneak peek previews but I’m getting to the good stuff .. you’ll just have to take my teasing for a little longer!

I am SUPER proud of this photo. After the teaching session we had a live shooting where we got to see how Jasmine works and then we were encouraged to come forth and bring our own ideas. We had to do so with three words in mind for our brand. My three words are: quiet moments, passion and clarity. Knowing this I entirely freaked myself out by going .. how on earth do you orchestrate a ‘quiet moment’  .. those moments just occur on their own?! So I begged help from JD and he gave me advice to think of the end goal but figure out a way to get them into the pose. It’s not so much that you’ve asked for something but that you’ve given a guideline … it is then the couple themselves that bring their individuality to it.

So I screwed up my courage and said to Jasmine .. I’d like a go please. And. I did! I was the last one in the class of those who spoke up and I soooo glad I did. I would not have had a shot from this day where they looked directly into my lens otherwise and that would have been such a wasted opportunity. I’m glad I asked for what I wanted to see. Rachel & Dan are such a sweet couple .. I’ll tell you more of their story in the full blog.

Jasmine showed the way today: doing photography, running a business and I’m hooked .. I want to do this for myself.

Suffice it to say I’m thrilled .. filled to the brim with plans to make and act out on. With a heart that is happy and satisfied. What could be better?!
(I’m leaking happy tears here!)

    Hi Cathie,
That was some day, wasn’t it! Glad to have met you, although I know we didn’t speak much. It was hard to get around everyone as there was so many of us. I am naturally reserved so it took a while to warm up and it occurred to me after yesterday that I just have to get on with it. So we will no doubt speak again:)
