The lavender fields in London today were sensational, I advertised a free ‘treasure the dress’ shoot on this blog a while ago and Yolandi spotted it and got in touch! It’s amazing what happens when you put a wish out there and a girl hears you metaphorically and wants to be your photography subject!

Yolandi and Daniel were my perfect couple today, relaxed, easy-going and were ready to rock the frock and treasure their dress all in one sunshine afternoon. Sarah of Aranya Photography was my ever so helpful assistant and second shooter today, I swear, assistants make the world go round.

So a quick sneak peek from todays shoot. We got to play hide and seek with the sun and also a new game of  ‘lets overpower the sun’ and shoot directly into it! After a kerfuffle with settings .. a bit of headless chicken moment trying to figure out why it wasn’t working .. I suddenly got all the manual camera settings to coincide with my off camera flash and wahlah (voila!)… one great photo of lavender fields, a happy couple and glorious sunshine .. plus one super happy photographer and assistant, whoooo :D

I love it when two people get their wishes coming true: Yolandi and Daniel got to celebrate again for a day and me? I got a seriously cool set of photographs that they are allowing me to use for my marketing and portfolio. Thank you for choosing me to Treasure Your Dress.
