on the topic of Life

Hello there folks, its been a while since I last posted *ahem* back in 2012! Life has been all change and this website and my business is undergoing a shift.

I’ve decided to step down from doing wedding photography as it wasn’t suiting me as a lifestyle choice. Loosing nearly every weekend during the spring, summer and autumn months, as well as an overwhelming workload during the weeks to process photos, visit churches to do location scouting before each wedding and also meeting lots of clients. Well, it made life all about weddings and while that is a great vocation and it made me happy in a lot of ways to capture and share in the joy of my clients. It didn’t make me happy in the long run.

So with an open heart to new challenges, I’m now switching to doing portraits and event photography. This means I’ll have new materials to show coming up from the last year and onwards into the future.

I will keep my wedding portfolio online for just a while longer until I refresh my website entirely for a new look and its new direction as a business.

In the mean time, here is a portrait I took on my holiday last week with my friends, myself and my partner on the wonderful island of Lesvos in Greece.

I've been taking my camera out with me more and more lately, especially while walking with my dog. I'm really enjoying having something to capture mini slices of life, to help me focus on a single moment and not the chaos of life. I loved this little green leaf among...

Long exposures & Markets

Long exposures & Markets

I am pushing my own comfort boundaries and that night, I went to the christmas market with the leeds deaf photography group to practise my BSL, be social with new folks and pick up my camera again for me, to capture the world as I see it. This is what I saw.
