on the topic of Life

Hey my lovely internet readers, its been a very VERY slow start to 2011. I’ve been struck down by a horrific cold and I’m only just now starting to take medication to get me better as its been almost three weeks and I’m not bouncing back! I’m overloading on oranges and I’m taking extra good care of myself so I’m hoping that with the meds I’ll be back up and running very shortly.

So to help get the show on the road I’m entering several of my photographs into a competition for the Professional Photographer of the Year Awards. Wish me luck and have a look at the photos I’ve entered, I’m pretty darn proud of ’em :)

I’m entering as a Professional Photographer for these categories: Commercial Clients (Architecture), High Fashion, In the Studio, On Location, Portfolio (3 photos), Reportage Weddings and what looks to be a new category called Breaking the Mould!

If I don’t manage to place then I hope you find my work worthy of an award anyway, your award .. the one where you get in touch, ‘say hello’ and follow up by adding ‘I’d love for you to shoot my portrait, wedding or new project’.

Long exposures & Markets

Long exposures & Markets

I am pushing my own comfort boundaries and that night, I went to the christmas market with the leeds deaf photography group to practise my BSL, be social with new folks and pick up my camera again for me, to capture the world as I see it. This is what I saw.
